About Me
How I Got Into Photography
I grew up in Pinellas Park, FL. and have lived here in Florida practically my entire life. I've been to nearly half of the United States, and I've been to Central and South America several times. I love traveling, sports, photography, and anything outdoors. My love of photography started at a very young age. I don't remember exactly how young I was the first time my mom showed me how to use a camera, but the first camera I ever owned was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles camera from the 80's (if that's any indication of my age at the time). From then on, I was hooked on photography.
Not long after that, my mom started teaching me how to compose and shoot photos on her 35mm Ricoh SLR camera. Growing up and making my way through high school, photography remained a hobby of mine. Then, in 2007 the jewelry company I was working for needed a new photographer. So, I mentioned to my manager that photography had always been a hobby of mine. Before I knew it, I had spent more than a year working as the company's product photographer until I was promoted to another position within the company. In my spare time, I worked off and on as an photographer's assistant for a local wedding photographer and family friend. It wasn't until recently that I began photographing weddings on my own.
More About Me
In 2011, I married the most wonderful woman I've ever met. Since then, we've settled down in Saint Petersburg, FL. My wife and I are both extremely active people who love the outdoors, so we spend our weekends "adventuring" as often as we can. The two of us have played a myriad of sports in our lives, but these days we mostly play soccer. The other thing worth mentioning on this page is the great church that we attend, Suncoast Community Church in Largo, FL. If you don't have a church that you're going to on a regular basis, I highly recommend Suncoast.
